How long has it been?
Well, on the 22nd, it was 18 days since I have written, so, it being the 29th today, that would turn out to be 25 days. Almost a month since I have written, and wow. Well, I was going to write a huge Blog about my vacation to Canada, but there was so much to write about, I never wanted to write it all.
So, here I write, the day before I go on a High Adventure trip to D.C. and the National Jamboree for a week. So much has happened, I don't think I can write it all down, but I'm just writing so people can enjoy my blog once more, and not have to read the same thing over and over again.
Well, I got my Wisdom Teeth pulled a week ago, and right now, it feels like i'm teething again. I think it's the hole trying to close up. Other than that, I have no pain, which is super good. No dry sockets to worry about, and so I can go on this trip.
School starts in a little over a month, and I've got so much to do. First, my Eagle Scout Project. Yeah-well you should know the story. I'm really gonna get this going as soon as I get back from this trip-cause if I don't do it before school starts, it's not gonna happen, and I will be inches away from gaining my Eagle Scout award, which would truly and honestly suck. It would be like racing in the Tour De France, when at the last 10 feet of the race, your tire pops, and you watch as your easy first place finish turns into a 15th place finish. Or running in an olympic marathon, when your shoe comes untied and you trip and fall, with your outstreched hands a mere centimeters away from the line.
Next, summer projects. I got one halfway done, and started on another. I had to find 12 biological every-day things and question them. I still have 13 left before school. I started on the English book assignment, I'm just waiting for the book to get here.
And now, my downfall. I have two essays to write. Well, not fully write, but get a good start on it. One is for history, and it is about Joshua Chamberlain and the 20th Maine. It's gotta be a max. 1500 words. I haven't started a bit of it yet.
And now, the shocker. My Extended Essay. Yeah. 5000 words roughly it needs to be. My mentor wants the rough draft done when school starts. It's on Biblical Allusions and how they aren't as strong in this society any longer. 5000 words. And yet again, I have not touched it. Wow, am I gonna be hurtin' this year. And on top of that all, I need to take physics with no room for it in my schedule. Haha...I will talk to you guys next June.
But, I haven't just sat on my butt playing Halo 2 all summer. That takes up some of it, but I have topped it with something else. Reading. Yep, that's right, I have read more this summer than I have spent playing Halo 2. So far, I'm on my 6th book. #1 Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith; #2. The Prometheus Deception (by the author of The Bourne Identity); #3. Eragon; #4. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince; #5. Star Wars...uhh I forgot the title, but it's the prequel to Episode III. Yeah, what now? And right now, I'm reading The Sigma Protocol.
And, so I'm off to bed. I'll see you guys in a week. Have a good summer, enjoy it, be safe. Goodbye until next time.
